Mackintosh Fruit Farm CSA Program
Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program connects our farm, partnering farms, and local households that want to support sustainable agriculture while enjoying fresh, seasonal produce. By subscribing, members receive a weekly share of farm-fresh vegetables and fruits, available from May through September.
Fresh From Our Farm To Your Home
How Does The CSA Program Work?
Choose between half-shares or full-shares of fresh, seasonal vegetables and occasional fruits from our farm and other local growers. Each week’s selection is based on what’s in season and harvested at peak freshness.
Looking for more? Members may have the option to add locally sourced products, such as beef, pork, eggs, and baked goods, from our partnering farms—available for purchase and pick-up with your weekly share.

18-Week Subscription

FAQ
How long does the 2025 CSA Program last?
The program runs for 18 weeks, beginning the week of May 29th and ending September 26th. This subscription ensures a weekly share for the entire season. Members can cancel their subscription anytime.
How often will I receive fruit in my share?
Fruit availability varies based on weather, harvest timing, and the seasonality of each crop. Smaller fruits, like strawberries and blackberries, have short growing seasons and may only appear once per year, while larger fruits, such as apples, may be available more frequently in late summer and fall due to their longer season and extended shelf life. Spring shares typically have fewer fruit options, but availability increases throughout summer and fall. While we cannot guarantee fruit in every box, we do our best to provide a balanced variety.
When can I expect to see certain fruits and veggies?
For a general guide on what’s in season each month, refer to our availability chart. We also grow hydroponic vegetables in our heated greenhouse, including tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and eggplant. With over 400 plants in production, greenhouse harvests begin in late April, allowing us to offer fresh vegetables early and late in the season when outdoor crops are at risk from colder temperatures.
What if I don’t want something in my weekly share?
Each week, members can substitute one item in their share using the Google Form sent out every Monday. If you receive a vegetable you’re unfamiliar with, we encourage you to try new recipes and get creative in the kitchen! If you find yourself with extra produce, consider gifting it to a friend or neighbor to help reduce food waste and share the farm-fresh goodness.
How should I store my CSA produce?
For the best freshness, store most produce in a cool place and avoid washing fruits or vegetables until you’re ready to use them. The natural microbiome on fresh produce acts as a preservative. Leafy greens and lettuces should always be stored in the refrigerator. Each week, our CSA emails and share box inserts will include specific storage tips for certain fruits and vegetables.
What if I’m out of town and can’t pick up my share?
If you’re unable to pick up your share, you can arrange for a friend or family member to collect it for you. If you need to skip a week, please email Maddy in advance to let us know. Missed shares cannot be refunded, so we encourage members to plan accordingly.
